Our

History

NASARAWA STATE UNIVERSITY, KEFFI, Was established under the Nasarawa State Law No. 2 of 2001 (see 2.2) as passed by the State House of Assembly. The University came into existence under the visionary and dynamic administration of Governor. (Dr) Abdullahi Adamu (Sarkin Yakin Keffi, Aare Obateru of the source, Ile-Ife), the first democratically elected Governor of Nasarawa State.

  2. To provide courses of instruction and other facilities and to make those facilities for the pursuit of learning in all its branches and to make those facilities available on proper terms to such person as are equipped to benefit from them;
  3. To provide ready access for Nasarawa State indigenes to higher education
  4. To encourage and promote scholarship and conduct research in all field of learning and human endeavour;
  5. To relate its courses to the social, cultural and economic needs of the people of Nasarawa State; and
